Owner.com Pricing in 2026: $249 or $499 a Month, Plus the Fee Guests Pay

Owner.com publishes two plans: Flexible at $249/month plus a 5% restaurant fee per order, and Flat Rate at $499/month. Both also carry a 5% guest-facing order support fee. Here is the math for choosing between them, verified August 2026.

Key takeaways

  • Owner.com publishes two plans: **Flexible at $249/month plus a 5% restaurant fee per order**, and **Flat Rate at $499/month with no additional restaurant fees**. Owner's own guidance puts the Flat plan as best for restaurants doing **$5,000+ a month** in online sales.
  • Both plans also carry a **5% order support fee paid by the guest**, disclosed on Owner's pricing page. Part of the "0% commission" position is funded by the diner at checkout.
  • The break-even between the two plans sits almost exactly at Owner's own line: at $5,000 a month in online sales, the Flexible plan's 5% equals the $250 gap between the plans.
  • **AI Phone Ordering is announced but had no published price** when we checked; the product page was a waitlist. Budget for it as an unknown.
  • Verified against Owner's pricing page on August 26, 2026. Prices change; check the source before you sign.

Owner.com deserves credit for publishing its pricing, which most platforms in this category do not. But the two plans plus a guest-side fee make the real cost less obvious than the pricing page suggests. This article does the arithmetic.

The two published plans, verified August 2026

PlanPublished priceOwner's own guidance
Flexible$249/month + 5% restaurant fee per order"Your costs scale with your sales"; special rates for multi-location
Flat Rate$499/month, no additional restaurant fees"Best for restaurants at $5k+/mo in online sales"

Both plans are month-to-month with no cancellation fee, and the branded mobile app is included in the plan price rather than sold as an upgrade. Those are two genuinely good terms, and if you are comparing platforms they are the right baseline to hold everyone else to.

The fee your guests pay

Owner's pricing page also discloses a **5% order support fee charged to the guest**. At an Owner checkout we observed it as a "Support Local Fee" of $0.99 on an $8.00 pickup subtotal.

This is not a hidden fee; it is on the pricing page. But when you compare Owner's cost to a platform that charges the restaurant instead, remember that part of Owner's revenue arrives through your guest's total. A $30 delivery order carries about $1.50 of support fee on top, before delivery fees and tips. Whether that is fine for your guests is a judgment call; it should just be a conscious one.

Flexible or Flat: where the math flips

The plans differ by $250 a month. On Flexible you pay 5% of online sales; on Flat you do not.

  • 5% of $3,000 in monthly online sales is $150. Flexible total: $399. Flat total: $499. **Flexible wins.**
  • 5% of $5,000 is $250. Flexible total: $499. Flat total: $499. **Even, exactly at Owner's own $5k line.**
  • 5% of $10,000 is $500. Flexible total: $749. Flat total: $499. **Flat wins by $250.**

So the choice is a one-line forecast: if your direct online sales will clear $5,000 a month, Flat Rate is the cheaper plan. If you are launching from zero, Flexible is cheaper until you grow past that line, and it is month-to-month, so switching later is a plan change rather than a renegotiation.

What has no price yet

Owner has announced **AI Phone Ordering**, but when we checked the product page it was a "Join the waitlist" form with no published price and no availability date. If phone orders are a meaningful share of your volume, that piece of the platform is not yet a number you can budget.

How Dinevate prices the same job

Dinevate covers the same guest-facing ground: website, online ordering, the branded app, loyalty, email marketing, and local SEO content on your own domain. The price has a different shape:

  • **$499, one time**, not per month. A set onboarding price, the same for every restaurant, covering the website, online ordering, the branded app, loyalty, local SEO, email marketing, and the Order Manager tablet (loaned, Dinevate property).
  • **One ongoing arrangement after launch**, quoted to your volume and channel mix: a per-order service fee or a flat monthly. Something always recurs; we say so up front.
  • **No contract**, no cancellation penalty.
  • **How a per-order fee reaches the guest is your call**, not a fixed percentage set for you.
  • **The phone is answerable today.** Dinevate Voice AI takes complete phone orders now, as an add-on with its own published shape: a commission on the orders it takes plus a $200/month account minimum.

The line-by-line comparison, including ordering depth and the SEO content each platform publishes, is in the [Dinevate vs Owner.com comparison](/compare/owner-com/).

**Does Owner.com charge commission?** Owner markets 0% commission on the Flat Rate plan. The Flexible plan carries a 5% restaurant fee per order, and both plans carry a 5% order support fee paid by the guest, disclosed on the pricing page.
