The Voice Home Dashboard
Open your Merchant Dashboard, click "Dinevate Voice AI" in the sidebar, and you land on Home — your at-a-glance view of what the AI has been doing.
At the top, a status banner tells you whether Dinevate Voice AI is Active (with the phone number it's answering) or Paused. When a customer is on the phone right now, a "Live Call" badge pulses next to it. The "Manage" button jumps straight to your settings.
"Today at a Glance" shows four cards:
- Voice Calls — Calls answered by the AI today.
- AI Orders — Orders taken, with your call-to-order conversion rate.
- AI Revenue — Sales from paid voice orders.
- Avg Call Length — How long a typical call takes.
If you accept cash on pickup, a second row splits things into Card Orders, Cash Orders, Card Volume, and Cash Volume so you always know how much cash to expect at the counter.
Below that, a "Beyond orders today" strip counts the value the AI adds besides orders: reservations booked (with guest counts), catering leads captured, and after-hours calls handled while you were closed.
"Recent AI Orders" is a live feed of the latest phone orders, and "Quick Actions" takes you to Call History, Analytics, or Voice settings in one click.
Watching Calls Live
Click "Live Calls" in the sidebar to watch the AI work in real time. You'll see counters for calls that are Active, Speaking, Thinking, and With Orders, and a card for each call in progress showing:
- The call's duration, ticking up live.
- A live transcript of the conversation as it happens.
- The current order being built, item by item.
It's genuinely fun to watch during a rush — and reassuring when you're curious how the AI handles a tricky caller. If the page says "No active voice calls right now", the phones are simply quiet.
Note: You're watching, not listening in. If a caller needs a human, the AI transfers them to your staff phone on its own.
Call History and Transcripts
Click "Call Logs" in the sidebar (the page is titled "Conversation History") to review every call from the last 30 days.
You can:
- Search by phone number or by words spoken in the call — type "allergy" or "birthday" and find the exact conversation.
- Filter by outcome: All Calls, With Orders, Sent to Staff, or Completed.
Each call shows the caller's number, when it happened, how long it lasted, an outcome chip, and — when an order was placed — the order total. The first few lines of the conversation preview right in the list, labeled "Caller" and "Dinevate AI". Click a call to read the full transcript.
The outcome chips you'll see:
- Order Placed — The caller ordered and paid (or chose cash).
- Awaiting Payment — The order was taken but the text payment link hasn't been paid yet.
- Sent to Staff — The call was transferred to your phone.
- Customer Ended — The caller hung up (asked a question and left, wrong number, etc.).
- After Hours — The call came in while the AI was outside its answering hours.
- Completed — The call finished normally without an order.
- Needs Review — Something went wrong on that call; worth reading the transcript.
Tip: Skim your call history for the first week or two. It's the fastest way to build trust in the AI — and to spot menu questions customers ask that your website doesn't answer.
Analytics: What Voice Is Doing for Your Business
Click "Analytics" for the full picture, with a date-range picker at the top. Highlights:
- Voice Calls Answered, AI Conversion Rate, AI Revenue, Calls Sent to Staff — the headline numbers for your chosen period.
- Business Impact — What Voice brings in beyond answering the phone: Reservations Booked (with guest counts and a link to your Reservations page), Catering Leads, After-Hours Calls, and Voice Avg Order compared to your other channels.
- Labor Savings — An estimate of the staff hours (and money) saved by not having someone tied to the phone.
- Charts — Calls and orders by day, daily revenue from calls, how each call ended, Popular Items on Phone, New vs Returning Callers, and When Do Customers Call? so you can see your true phone rush hours.
- Call Quality & Performance — Success rate, how often calls get forwarded to staff, and average call duration over time.
Tip: Check "When Do Customers Call?" against your posted hours. Many restaurants discover a wave of calls arriving right before opening or after closing — orders the AI can now catch for you.
How Voice Orders Reach Your Kitchen
Voice orders arrive exactly like website orders — on your Order Manager tablet and your ticket printer:
- While a customer is still on the phone, the order can appear as a live card marked "Dinevate Voice — AI-Powered Phone Order" with a pulsing LIVE badge.
- Once placed, the order shows a "Dinevate Voice" banner so your team knows it came in by phone.
- Cash orders are clearly flagged as unpaid — on screen and on the printed ticket — so staff know to collect payment at pickup.
- In your dashboard's Orders list, voice orders carry a Voice badge in the Channel column, and you can filter by channel to see only phone orders.
How the Text Payment Link Works
For card orders, the caller gets a text message right after the call: "Complete your order from [your restaurant]" with a secure link. They tap it and pay with Apple Pay, Google Pay, or any card.
A few things worth knowing:
- The order stays pending — your kitchen doesn't start it — until the link is paid.
- The link expires after 10 minutes. If it isn't paid, the pending order is cancelled automatically, so you're never cooking food nobody paid for.
- Customers get a friendly text reminder before the link expires, and if they call back, the AI can resend the link.
- These show up as "Awaiting Payment" in your call history until paid, then flip to "Order Placed".
Voice on Your Tablet
Your Order Manager tablet has its own "Dinevate Voice AI" page (in the tablet menu). It's a compact version of the dashboard, built for the counter:
- A status banner with your AI line's phone number, and — for the owner — a switch to pause or resume the AI on the spot.
- Last 7 days stats: calls today, calls this week, AI orders, AI revenue, conversion, and average call length.
- Call Hours — follow restaurant hours or set custom AI answering hours, right from the tablet.
- Recent Calls — tap any call to read its transcript, without leaving the counter.
Pausing from the tablet is perfect for rare moments when you want every call ringing straight to staff — flip it back when you're done.
A Simple Daily Routine
You don't need to babysit the AI, but a two-minute routine keeps you in full control:
- Morning: Glance at Home — yesterday's calls, orders, and anything Awaiting Payment.
- During service: Nothing! Orders print like normal. Peek at Live Calls if you're curious.
- Weekly: Open Analytics, check Business Impact and Popular Items on Phone, and skim a few transcripts in Call History.
